Patron

St. Joseph was born in Bethlehem. Grew up according to Jewish tradition. He married Mary who bore Jesus the Christ and became Jesus’ foster father. He raised Jesus as a sincere Jewish father into an adult man. He was with Jesus in his every good and bad situation and protected the family.
The tradition says that he died in the holy presence of Jesus and Mary. Hence, his death was considered as a blessed one. Therefore, he is called ‘the patron of good death’. The month of March is dedicated to St. Joseph.
Pope Pius IX declared him both the Patron and the Protector of the Catholic Church. Joseph is regarded as a model for Fathers, Workers, Places, Dioceses, and Parishes and so on.
